Congratulations! You've decided to move forward with a generator installation!
Fax, mail, or email your signed contract, 50% deposit, and property survey to Bold.
The office staff will prepare your construction permit application and deliver it to
You will get a phone call from the office staff with some questions about your gas
fueled appliances that will be run by your generator. This is for your gas load data inquiry
sheet that must be completed to ensure that your gas meter can handle the new generator.
We will fax it to them on your behalf.
Once your permit application is approved, the office will call you to let you know you can pick it up at your building department.
Vincent will schedule your installation once your generator is delivered and we have your permit number in our system.
Your generator installation will begin approximately at 7:45am and typically take two business days. Your electricity will intermittently be turned off and someone must be home to let the electrician inside. Make sure to put your permit in the front window!
The electrician will install your transfer switch first, and after the transfer switch is installed, the team will move your generator in place. Electrical lines will then be connected from your transfer switch to your generator.
Once the electric is hooked up, the plumber or propane company will make the proper connections from the fuel source to the generator.
After electric and fuel are hooked up, your generator is ready for a dealer certified start-up and township inspection.
Your home is now protected from impending power outages! You will receive your final packet with maintenance and monitoring options shortly.
